About Us
Mission
Of primary importance, we aim to build a community of mutual support and connection for authors at every stage of their careers. Additionally, we will offer an array of professional services to assist them in navigating the various aspects of being a professional author.
Vision
We are building a community of authors using various platforms and a monthly newsletter where writers can turn for understanding and support regarding the unique needs and challenges of being a professional author where no one has to feel alienated. In addition to creating and moderating these community spaces, we offer professional services for authors at every stage of their careers. With individual coaching sessions, group classes about various topics, such as paths to publication, marketing, and promotion, and services such as editing and packages of social media images and videos, we have a well-rounded offering for writers.
Values
We are dedicated to upholding standards of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Not only do we honor a writer’s identity, experiences, and truth, but we help fine-tune individual authors’ voices as a means of sharing their stories from their perspective.
Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
WriteWorks champions the sovereign rights of its clients and community members concerning their intellectual property and any information they may choose to share. Any work(s) shared with team members or coaches representing WriteWorks will be considered the author’s sole property, will not be shared or discussed outside of the WriteWorks team, and will only be addressed within the team with a client’s permission when it would benefit the client or his manuscript. These may include, but are not limited to, copyrights, patents, trade secret rights, and other intellectual property rights associated with any ideas, concepts, techniques, inventions, processes, works of authorship, confidential information, or trade secrets. Any conversations with the client are also treated as confidential, even when not in writing. WriteWorks retains no ownership or control of a manuscript during or after working with a client and will never be saved, stored, or shared by WriteWorks when a project is completed.
Tracey Love
Tracey guides her coaching with the belief that storytelling is healing. With a focus on the structure of fiction, her objective is to help authors become empowered to find their literary voice and share it with the world.
Jennifer Fay Smith
Jennifer comes at coaching from a much different background. Jennifer started college pursuing computer programming (yes, another language). Ultimately, however, her desire to understand human psychology and communication led her to be a linguist. Now she works with nonprofits, writes, and creates art.
C.R. ‘Chelsea’ Jones
There has never been a time in my life when I haven’t been writing. I received an associate’s degree in creative writing in 2015 and began working on several novels afterward. I have two Queer Romantasy/Sci-Fi novels published, with the third coming in late 2025. I have also started my first YA series, which will launch in 2026.

Skye Erikson
I have had a burning passion for reading and storytelling since I was very young; though I pursued my English degree for three and a half years after high school, I struggled with personal and financial issues which led to me to drop out in early 2010. Despite being deeply discouraged for over a decade thereafter, I didn’t let it stop me from chasing my bookish dreams eventually!
D.H. ‘Dee’ Myers
I am an author working on my debut novel while juggling a full-time career in IT, working as WriteWorks’ resident Director of IT, and raising two little ones as a solo parent. I have a passion for horror/romance literature and aspire to be a master of the genre that can offer insight for those with a love for the art of the genre. All the while, helping make sure WriteWorks runs smoothly for all involved!

Bio:
As a coach, I use a strengths-based approach. This means that I highlight the areas where authors shine and identify opportunities for improvement. I approach developmental editing with an emphasis on character development and character arc, ensuring that plot points serve the transformation that the character makes from the beginning of the story to the end.
After many years as a scholar and working in the mental health and education fields, I resumed my studies in the area of my true passion, earning an MA in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University. There, I furthered my studies in literary theory and feminist literature, lead fiction critique groups, gained student teaching experience in Freshman Composition, and complete a half-novel, my Master’s thesis.
I have content writing and editing experience, with a focus on developmental editing. In addition, I have studied intuitive development and spirituality, and I am an Ordained Universal Minister with a spiritual focus. In all my work, I have had a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. My studies experience, combined, provided me with the world-view necessary to develop my cross-genre fiction series and tell the characters’ stories through a feminist lens.
I am passionate about building authorly community because helping others find their own voice and the confidence to share that with the world is part of my life’s work. Whether you want coaching intertwined with editing or editing only, I am here to support you on this journey.

Bio:
Full disclosure? I’m a college dropout turned Indie author! At times, in the chaos of life, we unintentionally lose sight of our most precious dreams and ambitions. Writing is something that always called to me, but the formalities of higher education did not nurture my creative spirit in the way I needed. After over a decade of life experience and some old fashioned “soul-searching”, I was able to reconnect with my creative energy and make my dream of publishing a Sapphic novel a reality. My greatest ambition is not to merely sell books, but to nurture and inspire others who may have lost faith in their abilities as a creator and want to reestablish a connection to their artistic spirit. There is no such thing as “too late” when it comes to fulfilling our dreams!
Though I stumbled in my first steps, I’ve learned a lot along my own writing, editing and publishing journey and would be honored to help you along yours.

Bio:
I was born a poor Japanese baby, which is remarkable considering I am not Japanese. I was born in Okinawa, Japan, as my father was stationed there as a soldier. I went on to live in New Jersey, USA, and Augsburg, Germany, before settling back in New England (USA) to do all my formal schooling. Until my forties, I moved every year or two years, creating constant upheaval. However, that constant change did force me to work with my creative side to constantly adapt and change to new environments, people, cultures, and ideas.
If my bio reads like the ravings of a lunatic, it’s probably because my life was harried and my interests diverse. Yes, I have studied Metaphysics and Aerial Acrobatics. Yes, I was a soldier and a carnie at one point. The one common theme among all my moves, my studies, and my interests is communication. Whether it was languages, spirituality, art, movement, or culture, I have always wanted to be the best communicator I could be, to better understand the world around me. I bring that passion to my writing and editing, wanting others to be able to express their stories and to be seen and understood.

I’m a trans mama, full time IT worker, editing my debut novel, and in what little spare time I have, I can be found in the kitchen cooking for my loved ones! Life is busy, but that’s why we have communities. Or else I’d probably pull out my lovely curls.

What you receive when working with me:
As a coach, I will guide you to outline a story with me by asking you questions. Most of my feedback will be to keep writing because you can’t fix a blank page. I am a reformed pantser; meaning that I have learned that I do best with a story outline, understanding how I want it to end, but I don’t mind tossing in a curveball mid-scene that even I hadn’t planned! If you’re looking for a coach who is going to guide you to your idea rather than tell you it, I’m your gal!
Fun FAQs:
Some fun details about me are I have three dogs (whom I will talk about a lot), I love teaching and giving back to others, and I am a huge fan of diversity, especially in our books. For my day job (even though I wish I could do this all day instead), I am a Learning & Development Project Manager, where I host workshops, training sessions, and networking for early-in-career professionals.
